Welcome to The Den – our new holiday club concept where adventure, learning, and fun collide to create the ultimate school holiday experience for your child!
At The Den, we’re not just your average childcare facility. We’re a team of passionate, energetic, and caring educational, childcare, and sports specialists on a mission to Build a Brighter Future. With backgrounds ranging from experienced primary school teachers to dedicated sports coaches, our team is committed to providing a nurturing environment where your child can thrive.
Just like the den in the wilderness, our space is a place of exploration and discovery. It’s where children come to socialise, be imaginative, and most importantly, have a blast! But it’s not just about fun and games; it’s also a sanctuary for calmness, stillness, and wellbeing when needed.
Inspired by the spirit of the den, we’ve designed our holiday club club to be a haven that children WANT to visit. No more dragging feet or reluctant sighs – here, your child will eagerly anticipate their time at The Den, ready to dive into a world of exciting activities and opportunities for growth.
Our holistic approach to learning focuses on fostering confidence, resilience, and self-esteem, while also nurturing social, emotional, and physical skills. Through a carefully curated program of activities that support play, creativity, and supported risk-taking, we aim to empower every child who walks through our doors.
The Den welcomes all local children to explore our setting through a choice of daily sessions. Children aged between 5 and 11 years old can choose from our Extended Day which runs from 8am to 6pm, or our Standard Day which runs from 9am to 4pm. Children who attend our Extended Day will be offered a light late afternoon snack/sandwich at no additional cost. Breakfast is also available to those arriving between 8.00am and 8.20am.
Children who are 4 years old can attend for a half day session which runs from 9am to 1pm – if you require an 8am drop off please email us at TheDen@stepupfoundation.org.uk and we can see if we can help.
